Had no word back from ETB following an email stating the problem and attaching a drawing, I'll pay them a visit once it is on the road. Bit of a slow few months, mainly due to the fact that the final electrical problem has not been solved (wipers and lights interfering). Whilst scratching my head I have fitted the dash (ally covered with fake carbon fibre) and plumbed in all of the clocks etc. Stuart Parley (Stylus build) came round one Saturday and and we spent five hours on the electrics without a result, finally I had a brain wave tonight (06/06/03) and coupled the earth feed on the wiper/lights relay direct to the earth stud in the cockpit and hey presto all my problems are solved. Next is a list of smallish jobs and off to SVA in a couple of months. The jobs include finishing to fit the dash with heater vents, tidying up the wiring under the dash, making a bracket for the relays/fuses, making a battery retaining bracket, changing the exhaust hanger (new idea), respraying all of the metal parts black, respraying the rocker cover blue and painting the underside of the bonnet with black hammerite. Final touched will be to fit the headlight covers, fit the screen, fit the carpets/sets/belts and then fit the inner wheel arches (before painting the bonnet). So loads of final touches but we are in the last furlong.
