Did a track day at Bruntingthorpe and found a few problems to sort out - namely - exhaust brackets needed higher temp bobbins, ECU will need changing as I was getting some significant loss of power, need a new diff at some stage. Changed the bobbins for two renault/saab items and ordered an Emerald ECU. Emerald was installed and initial map used. This procedure has got rid of the idle valve and uses a home made bleed valve to regulate idle. Need to do a second mapping once on the road. Also will be having a look to see if the original Zetec alternator bracket and alternator can be re-fitted now I do not have the large mount for the idle valve in the way. I also may look to see if I can find a larger throttle body when I go down the scrappers for the alternator bracket (assuming it will fit, borrowed at present).
